Two mechanics have filed a proposed collective action against Mechanical Installation Corp. and Mechanical Service Corp. of New York, along with two of the business’ owners and operators, seeking compensation for allegedly unpaid overtime wages.
Two mechanics have filed a proposed collective action against Mechanical Installation Corp. and Mechanical Service Corp. of New York, along with two of the business’ owners and operators, seeking compensation for allegedly unpaid overtime wages. The plaintiffs say that despite being non-exempt from overtime pay, they didn’t receive time-and-a-half wages when they worked more than 40 hours a week. The suit also claims that the defendants failed to monitor and properly record the mechanics’ actual hours worked.
