Florida
Neal Signature Homes, LLC and NC Employment Group, Inc. are on the receiving end of a lawsuit that claims they failed to pay their employees proper overtime wages. The plaintiff in the case says she was employed as a “Permitting Manager” but did not perform managerial duties and should have been eligible for overtime pay under the Fair Labor Standards Act. Instead, the suit argues, she routinely worked an estimated 50 hours per week or more without receiving time-and-a-half overtime wages for the hours she worked above 40.
