Filed: November 6, 2017 ◆§ 8:17-cv-02667-CEH-AAS
Multi-family housing development company Michaelson Real Estate Group, LLC and its chief executive officer are facing claims that they’ve failed to pay their employees proper overtime wages.
Multi-family housing development company Michaelson Real Estate Group, LLC and its chief executive officer are facing claims that they’ve failed to pay their employees proper overtime wages. The plaintiff, a maintenance employee who the suit says still works for the defendants, claims he and similarly situated employees routinely works more than 40 hours per week without receiving proper time-and-a-half overtime wages. According to the complaint, the defendants instead require employees to “use comp time during subsequent weeks” and frequently alter their time records to reflect 40-hour workweeks. The suit argues that, as an employee without managerial responsibilities, the plaintiff should be paid for all the hours he’s worked and receive proper overtime wages.
