Filed: September 19, 2017 ◆§ 1:17-cv-23453-DPG
A security camera installer claims VIP Systems violated the Fair Labor Standards Act by failing to pay overtime wages.
A proposed class action lawsuit filed over alleged Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) violations claims Florida’s VIP Systems, Inc. owes unpaid overtime wages. Filed by a security camera installer who’s currently employed by the defendant, the lawsuit claims the plaintiff and similarly situated employees regularly work more than 40 hours each week without being paid time-and-a-half wages mandated under the FLSA. The plaintiff, more specifically, claims that he worked an average of 65 hours per week between June 2, 2016 and the present without any overtime pay.
