A former employee of Pure Natural Nail Lounge, LLC has filed suit against the company and three individuals with control of the business over allegations that they failed to pay proper minimum and overtime wages. The plaintiff says she was employed as a nail technician, massage therapist and hair stylist at the defendants’ salon between January 2015 and November 2016 but was forced to quit due to her employers’ alleged failure to pay her promised wages. According to the suit, the United States Department of Labor conducted an investigation of the defendants' business and concluded that their pay practices were illegal. Despite being required to pay the plaintiff back wages by August 29, 2017, the defendants have continued to withhold the plaintiff’s due compensation, according to the suit.
