A former assistant manager for Postal Fleet Services, Inc. has filed suit against the company over claims that he was misclassified as exempt from receiving overtime wages. He says despite his job title, he worked 80 hours per week performing mostly non-managerial duties and was denied time-and-a-half overtime wages. According to the complaint, the plaintiff spent most of his time driving trucks to the post office, loading them with mail, and transporting the mail to other post office facilities, much like non-exempt driver employees, meaning he should have been eligible for overtime wages.
