Filed: March 9, 2018 ◆§ 1:18cv20912
Emil Franc, Inc. and an individual are facing a former employee’s claims that they failed to pay him proper minimum and overtime wages while he worked as a server at their restaurant, Cafe Ragazzi.
Emil Franc, Inc. and an individual owner are facing a former employee’s claims that they failed to pay him proper minimum and overtime wages. The man says he worked at the defendants’ Italian restaurant, Café Ragazzi, as a busser and food runner but was paid “only a portion of the tips received by the servers,” which supposedly totaled $300.00 per week on average. Apart from tips, the plaintiff allegedly received no wages at all, despite often working more than 40 hours per week.
According to the lawsuit, the plaintiff is owed approximately $435.20 in overtime pay and $8,512.40 in unpaid minimum wages.
Furthermore, the suit claims the defendants violated state labor laws by denying employees proper meal and rest breaks.
