According to the plaintiff, management at the Residence Inn Dania Beach (FL) changed time records to sidestep its overtime pay obligations.
Apple Ten Florida Services, Inc., better known as the Residence Inn Dania Beach in Florida, is the defendant in a proposed class action in which a former night shift employee alleges she typically worked 45 hours per week without overtime pay. The plaintiff claims the defendant’s management intentionally manipulated her time records in order to avoid paying overtime and fired her after she complained multiple times about hours missing from her paychecks. According to the complaint, the defendant owes the plaintiff nearly $10,000 in unpaid overtime throughout her 111-week employment tenure.
