Wilson v. Remington Arms Co. LLC
Filed: October 20, 2017 ◆§ 4:17-cv-00686-JM
A lawsuit claims Remington Arms Co. failed to include shift premiums when tallying workers' overtime rates of pay.
Remington Arms Co., LLC finds itself as the defendant in a proposed class and collective action out of Arkansas that alleges the firearms company has not paid production workers proper overtime wages within the last three years. Citing possible Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and Arkansas wage law violations, the lawsuit claims the plaintiff, a former hourly paid employee, and other production workers are paid shift premiums in addition to their regular pay. According to the case, Remington did not include these shift premiums when calculating the workers’ hourly overtime rates.
