Villani v. M.I. Courier Services Inc. et al.
Filed: October 18, 2017 ◆§ 1:17-cv-23833-RNS
A former employee claims he worked more than 80 hours per week for M.I. Courier Services Inc. without being paid proper overtime wages.
A former employee has filed a lawsuit that claims M.I. Courier Services Inc. (which is also known as M.I. Courier Services Inc. of New York) and an individual with control over the business failed to pay appropriate overtime wages. The plaintiff, who the case says worked as a courier for the defendants from July 2016 through September 2017, claims he worked an average of 82 hours per week without being paid time-and-a-half wages for all hours worked past 40 each workweek. The complaint claims the defendants’ alleged Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) violations were willful.
