Roofing and construction company KNS Building Restoration, Inc. and a manager are facing a former employee’s claims that they didn’t pay proper overtime wages.
Roofing and construction company KNS Building Restoration, Inc. and a manager are facing a former employee’s claims that they didn’t pay proper overtime wages. The plaintiff says he worked for the defendants as a construction worker between January 2013 and September 2016 and frequently put in 48 hours of work per week. Despite federal and state overtime requirements, the defendants supposedly paid the man at his straight-time hourly rate for all his hours instead of the time-and-a-half overtime rate for hours worked past 40 each week. The case also claims the company never provided the plaintiff or other employees with accurate wage statements on each payday.
