Filed: November 2, 2018 ◆§ 1:18cv2540
Two former employees of Capitol Drywall and East Coast Developers claim that the companies unlawfully withheld their wages.
District of Columbia
Two former employees of Capitol Drywall, Inc. and East Coast Developers, LLC claim in a proposed collective action that the companies unlawfully withheld their wages.
The plaintiffs say they worked for the defendants as drywall finishers on a luxury apartment building project in Washington, D.C. in March 2017. The laborers claim they were promised an hourly rate of $19 but did not receive their due wages for some or all hours worked. Specifically, one plaintiff claims he worked 88 hours on the project for which he was not paid at all. The other plaintiff alleges she clocked 80 hours but only received wages for 40 hours.
