A former employee of Stone Concept Miami, Inc. has filed suit against the company and an individual with control of the business, claiming he wasn’t paid any wages for 17 pay periods between January and April of this year. The man says he worked as an assistant journeyman employee, responsible for helping with drywall installation, plumbing, and general carpentry, among other construction duties. The lawsuit argues that the plaintiff wasn’t paid his $23.00 average hourly rate for the time he spent working, nor time-and-a-half pay despite putting in at least five-and-a-half hours of overtime. In all, the case estimates that the plaintiff is owed $13,650.75 in unpaid wages.
