Florida
Lakeland Regional Medical Center, Inc. is facing claims that it failed to pay its employees proper overtime wages in violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act. The plaintiff says she was employed by the defendant as a purchasing clerk from April 2011 through August 4, 2017 (excluding a period of three months in 2013) and routinely worked more than 40 hours per week. She claims she complained to her manager that her responsibilities required her to work off the clock and requested overtime pay, to which her supervisor allegedly responded that overtime would not be approved, but that her work “would have to be done no matter what.”
This action seeks to cover every hourly employee who worked for Lakeland Regional Medical Center anytime during the past three years.
