Mendoza et al v. K&J Construction Consultant Service Inc. et al
Filed: May 30, 2018 ◆§ 2:18cv3172
Three plaintiffs claims 30 to 40 workers from within the last three years may be owed unpaid wages from K&J Construction Consultant Service.
New York
Three plaintiffs have put their names on a proposed collective action against Greenlawn, New York’s K&J Construction Consultant Service Inc. and the company’s owner through which they seek to recover allegedly unpaid wages. The former construction workers, who the case says worked for the defendants for various stretches between January 2015 and the present, claim they put in anywhere between 50 and 55 hours per week without being paid required time-and-a-half overtime wages for every weekly hour worked in excess of 40. According to the suit, the defendants have employed between 30 and 40 workers within the last three years who have been subject to similarly illegal payment practices.
