Florida-based cabinetry business Italkraft, LLC and Michael Pfeiffer Carpentry, Inc. are the defendants in a lawsuit in which the plaintiff claims he was not paid time-and-a-half overtime wages despite working more than 40 hours per week. The plaintiff, an hourly paid installer, says he did not receive premium pay from at least March 2015 through November 2017, when Italkraft changed its pay policy to require installers to be paid overtime. The case notes the plaintiff was paid at only his regular hourly rate for recorded overtime hours while receiving no wages at all for at least five hours of work per week during the aforementioned time period that went unrecorded.
