Gonzalez v. Homeland Patrol Corp. et al.
Filed: November 6, 2017 ◆§ 1:17-cv-24080-PCH
A security guard claims in a lawsuit that Homeland Patrol Corp. has failed to pay time-and-a-half overtime for his entire nine-year tenure of employment.
A security guard employed by Homeland Patrol Corp. has filed a proposed class action against the company and two individuals with control of the business to recover allegedly unpaid overtime wages. The plaintiff claims that, from when his employment began in October 2008 through January 2017, he worked an average of 106 hours per week without being paid time-and-a-half overtime for all hours worked past 40. The man then says in the complaint he worked an average of 72.5 hours per week between January and May 2017, also without proper overtime compensation.
