Ohio
Good Hands Home Care & Adult Services LLC is facing a proposed class and collective action filed by a home health aide who worked for the company between January 2016 and August 2017. According to the complaint, the defendant was required, starting January 1, 2015, to pay its home health aides overtime wages in accordance with the Home Care Final Rule 1. Despite this, the plaintiff says Good Hands refused to pay its workers overtime wages and, even further, denied pay for the time they spent working between client appointments. The plaintiff also argues her employer failed to keep accurate records of her hours worked, in further violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act, the suit says.
