In a proposed class action lawsuit, a current employee of Holtger Bros., Inc. takes issue with the company’s pay practices, claiming it doesn’t properly compensate employees for all hours worked. According to the complaint, the plaintiff began working for the defendant in August 2017 as a field worker, responsible for installing fiber optic wire in various field locations. He alleges he and other employees work more than 40 hours per week but are not paid time-and-a-half overtime wages for all the hours they work above 40.
