Sosa v. Guardian Care of Palm Beach, Inc.
Filed: October 26, 2017 ◆§ 9:17-cv-81203-WJZ
A lawsuit claims Guardian Care Services has failed to pay its caregiver employees proper minimum and overtime wages.
A proposed wage and hour class action out of Florida claims Guardian Care of Palm Beach, Inc. which does business as Guardian Care Services, failed to pay proper minimum and overtime wages to its caregiver employees. The plaintiff, who the case says worked for the defendant from March 2017 to September 2017, claims she worked in excess of 40 hours per week and was not paid time-and-a-half hourly overtime. Moreover, the complaint claims the defendants further violated the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) by failing to promptly pay workers on the designated payday.
