Sims v. Goodwill Industries of Arkansas Inc
Filed: April 23, 2019 ◆§ 4:19cv289
A lawsuit claims Goodwill Industries of Arkansas “refused” to pay a cashier at its Little Rock thrift store lawful minimum and overtime wages.
Arkansas
Goodwill Industries of Arkansas, Inc. is on the receiving end of a lawsuit that claims the nonprofit organization “refused” to pay a cashier at its Little Rock thrift store lawful minimum and overtime wages.
The proposed class and collective action alleges that the defendant, despite being aware of employees’ hours worked, failed to pay its staff, including the plaintiff, for all of their weekly work hours. Consequently, the plaintiff did not receive at least the minimum wage for each hour worked and was deprived of appropriate time-and-a-half overtime pay, the suit says.
