Sport Carwash, LLC and several others are facing a proposed class action over alleged wage and hour violations.
A proposed class action filed over alleged Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and Florida Minimum Wage Act (FMWA) violations has been filed against the below entities and four individuals with operational control over the businesses:
- Sport Carwash, LLC (aka City Car Care)
- Sport Carwash Homestead, LLC
- Sport Carwash Properties, LLC
- Sport Carwash Properties Homestead, LLC
The plaintiff, a former car washer and detailer, claims the eight defendants should be on the hook for allegedly unpaid minimum and time-and-a-half hourly overtime wages, as well as wages owed for routine off-the-clock work. The man alleges he’s owed a little more than $18,500 in unpaid overtime, as well as legal costs.
