Liu v. Yang Family Group, Inc. et al
Filed: March 14, 2018 ◆§ 5:18cv441
The company that runs the Bridgeport, CT buffet restaurant allegedly failed to pay a former cashier for 74 hours of work each week.
Yang Family Group, Inc., which does business as Bridgeport, Connecticut buffet restaurant Teppanyaki, and four individuals are facing a proposed collective action in which the plaintiff claims she’s owed unpaid overtime wages. The plaintiff, who worked for the defendants as a cashier from October 2016 through October 2017, says she regularly worked roughly 74 hours per week and made around $3,000 per month, paid in combination of check and cash, without time-and-a-half overtime pay. Moreover, the plaintiff claims she was never provided with uninterrupted meal breaks, nor detailed wage statements.
