A former employee of Crystal River, Florida’s Olive Tree Restaurant has filed suit against the restaurant’s operating company and an individual who controls the business over claims that they failed to pay her proper wages. The plaintiff alleges that she was employed as a server between February and June 2017 and regularly worked more than 40 hours per week for an hourly wage of $3.00. The suit argues that the defendants owe her minimum wages and time-and-a-half overtime wages for the hours she worked over 40 each week in accordance with Fair Labor Standards Act requirements.
