A former McDonald’s worker claims he is owed unpaid minimum and overtime wages due to an Arkansas franchisee’s allegedly inadequate recordkeeping practices.
Filed against the operators of several McDonald’s locations in Arkansas, the lawsuit claims restaurant policy required employees to work off-the-clock while waiting for a manager to arrive and clock them in. The workers’ time records were therefore frequently inaccurate and failed to account for all hours worked, the case argues.
The plaintiff in the case, who worked at the defendants’ North Little Rock location until November 22, additionally claims that the defendants have yet to pay him his last paycheck.
The lawsuit seeks to compensate a proposed class of hourly employees who were denied proper minimum and overtime wages while working for the defendants during the applicable statute of limitations period.
