Filed: May 10, 2018 ◆§ 1:18-cv-02799
Mamma Bell Pizza, Inc. and two individual owners are defendants in a proposed collective action filed over the defendants' alleged failure to pay employees proper overtime and spread-of-hours wages.
New York
Mamma Bell Pizza, Inc. and two individual owners are defendants in a proposed collective action filed over alleged labor law violations. The plaintiff in the case claims he worked as a pizza maker and cook at the defendant’s eatery, Mamma’s Pizza & Restaurant, without being paid proper overtime and spread-of-hours wages. According to the suit, the man put in between 55 and 70 hours of work per week and should have received extra pay for the hours he worked over 40 each week and 10 each day.
The plaintiff further claims that he wasn’t provided with proper meal breaks, accurate wage statements, or reimbursement for using his own funds to purchase shirts he was required to wear for his job.
