Eight companies that operate Little Caesars restaurants in Brooklyn, along with an individual owner, are facing the claims of two former managers who allege that they were not paid proper overtime wages. The plaintiffs say they were promoted to store manager positions during their employment with the defendants but were mostly responsible for preparing and serving food to customers rather than performing managerial duties. The suit argues that, as a result, they should have been paid time-and-a-half overtime wages for the hours they worked above 40 each week.
