Florida
A former employee of Vistana Management, Inc. (which does business as Sheraton’s Vistana Resort) has filed suit against the company over claims that she was denied overtime wages. The plaintiff says she worked for the defendant between February 2016 and July 2017 as a housekeeper responsible for cleaning hotel rooms. According to the suit, she often worked more than 40 hours per week, but her overtime hours were allegedly designated as “Non Working [sic]” hours on her paystubs and were paid at her regular rate instead of the time-and-a-half premium rate required under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
