A former housekeeper/cleaning employee has filed a lawsuit against Advanced Pharma CR, LLC and its two owners in which she claims she worked 50 hours per week at the defendants’ private residence without overtime pay. Though the plaintiff worked for the defendants from March 2016 through January 2018, the case centers on the period of time between May 2017, when the plaintiff went from being a non-exempt hourly worker to a salaried employee, and the end of the woman’s employment. During this time frame, the lawsuit says, the plaintiff worked 50 hours per week, with 2.5 hours deducted for lunch each week, without time-and-a-half overtime pay for every hour worked past 40. The complaint goes on to claim the plaintiff was fired by the defendants after complaining about working excessive hours. All told, the plaintiff seeks to recover an estimated $3,165.40 in unpaid overtime.
