Carter v. Pathfinder Inc
Filed: July 14, 2017 ◆§ 4:17-cv-00459-SWW
Pathfinder, Inc. is facing claims that it failed to pay its employees overtime wages, in violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
Pathfinder, Inc. is facing claims that it failed to pay its employees overtime wages, in violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act. In a proposed class and collective action against the company, a former employee alleges that she sometimes worked up to 80 hours per week as a home healthcare worker and was only paid for 40. According to the suit, Pathfinder required the plaintiff to provide 24-hour care to clients but instructed her to report only 40 hours of work per week on her timesheets. She claims that in many weeks, she worked so many hours that her pay fell below minimum wage.
The suit seeks to cover a proposed class and collective of all home healthcare workers who worked for the defendant or any of its affiliates since January 1, 2015.
