Filed: November 13, 2017 ◆§ 1:17-cv-04558-MHC
A former employee of Holtkamp Heating & Air Conditioning, Inc. has filed suit against the company claiming he is owed unpaid wages.
Georgia
A former employee of Holtkamp Heating & Air Conditioning, Inc. has filed suit against the company claiming he is owed unpaid wages. The plaintiff allegedly worked for the defendant as an air conditioner installer between April and June of 2017. He claims he was required to report to work between 6:15 and 6:30 each morning to load equipment into the company truck and then travel to job sites. According to the complaint, he would arrive at each site between 9:00 and 9:30 and would typically work until 5:00 pm or later, causing him to work “a number of overtime hours” for which he says he was not paid time-and-a-half overtime wages.
According to the plaintiff, the defendant removed the company truck from his driveway while he was away for Memorial Day weekend and informed him upon his return to work that he had been terminated. He claims he was not paid for the time he spent traveling between job sites and is owed $725.28 in unpaid wages.
