All Star Concrete & Mason Inc. and an individual owner are on the receiving end of a proposed class action lawsuit that accuses them of violating several provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act and New York state law. The plaintiff in the case – who was employed as a construction worker, concrete worker, and laborer – says he worked for the defendants between April and October 2017 and was paid about $900 per week. Though he allegedly worked 60 hours per week, the defendants failed to pay him proper time-and-a-half overtime wages, according to the complaint. On top of that, the case alleges, the company failed to post notices regarding employees’ rights and neglected to keep accurate records of their hours and wages.
