Sullivan v. Courier Connection, Inc. et al.
Filed: November 20, 2017 ◆§ 1:17-cv-04655-SCJ
A former delivery driver for Courier Connection, Inc. has filed suit against the company and an executive claiming he was not paid proper overtime wages.
A former delivery driver for Courier Connection, Inc. has filed suit against the company and an executive claiming he was not paid proper overtime wages. The plaintiff says he delivered packages for the defendant between five and six days per week for 10 hours per day and was paid a fixed daily rate without receiving time-and-a-half overtime wages for the hours he worked beyond 40 each week. He claims in addition to his scheduled hours, he was also required to report to a warehouse before work each morning to load a company van and, after each shift was over, was asked to refuel, unload any undeliverable packages, and clean the van. These tasks, according to the suit, were not accounted for in the defendants’ records of the plaintiff’s hours, further adding to his allegedly unpaid overtime.
