A former employee of Aim Pizza Corp. has filed suit against the company and two individuals with control of the business over claims that the parties failed to pay him proper overtime wages. The plaintiff – who worked as a cook at the defendant’s pizza restaurant, Pronto Pizza – says he regularly worked between 54 and 63 hours per week without being paid proper overtime wages. On top of that, the suit claims the defendants failed their obligation to record his hours and provide him with accurate wage statements. He claims that as a result, he was cheated out of time-and-a-half overtime pay for the hours he worked above 40 each week.
