A former employee has filed a proposed collective action against money transfer and payment services company Trans Fast Remittance LLC, its parent companies, GCP (JPM) Investments LLC, GCP Capital Partners Holdings LLC, and GCP Capital Partners LLC, and five individuals over claims she and other sales service support workers were not paid proper overtime wages for weeks in which they worked more than 40 hours.
In addition to alleging overtime pay violations of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), the plaintiff, employed by the defendants from March 2000 through November 2016, claims proposed collective members are also owed unpaid spread-of-hours wage (under New York state law) for days during which they worked shifts that lasted longer than 10 hours.
