Filed: October 3, 2018 ◆§ 1:18cv9044
FlyFit Holdings, LLC and its owner are the defendants in a proposed collective action in which a former employee claims he was not paid for all hours worked.
FlyFit Holdings, LLC and its owner—who operate Manhattan fitness company FlyFit Global—are the defendants in a proposed collective action in which a former employee claims he was not paid for all hours worked.
The complaint says the plaintiff was employed by the defendants as an executive assistant to the CEO from December 2017 to May 2018. The plaintiff alleges that upon being hired, he was informed he would be paid an annual salary of $75,000. The case claims, however, that the man received two checks for $3,600.00 in February and March 2018, respectively, and a check for $2,750.00 the following April. The man received no wages at all for the remainder of his employment, the suit claims.
The case goes on to accuse the defendants of failing to issue the plaintiff a wage notice and accurate paystubs during his employment. Additionally, the suit alleges the defendants did not have proper recordkeeping practices in place and failed to reimburse the plaintiff for DocHub software that he was required to purchase for his work.
