Filed: July 25, 2018 ◆§ 1:18cv23017
A class action takes issue with Faro Blanco Resort & Yacht Club's alleged pay practices, which have supposedly resulted in unpaid overtime wages and unpaid compensation for unused paid time off (PTO).
Florida
SH 3, Ltd. (doing business as Faro Blanco Resort & Yacht Club) and co-defendants Spottswood Management, Inc. and an individual with control of the business are facing a proposed class action filed in Florida federal court. The lawsuit takes issue with the defendants’ alleged pay practices, which have supposedly resulted in unpaid overtime wages and unpaid compensation for unused paid time off (PTO).
The plaintiff claims that he worked for the defendants as a cook and regularly put in 70 hours per week without receiving time-and-a-half overtime pay. On top of that, the man says the defendants denied all his PTO requests between 2016 and 2018 and owe him a total of 208.50 hours of unpaid vacation time.
