A former Church’s Chicken employee has filed a lawsuit in which she claims the Arkansas restaurant deprived her of proper overtime wages.
A former Church’s Chicken employee has filed a proposed collective and class action in which she claims the Arkansas restaurant deprived her of proper overtime wages.
The suit names as defendants franchise operators SNSA, Inc., KNM Holdings, LLC, and three individuals with control of the companies. According to the case, the plaintiff, who worked as a cashier and later as a shift leader for the defendants from January until June 2017, was not paid at a time-and-a-half rate for hours worked in excess of 40 each week. Instead, the case continues, the plaintiff supposedly received an hourly rate of $8.50 for her regular hours and only $9.50 for overtime work.
