Cardoso v. Pick A Part Llc et al
Filed: December 19, 2018 ◆§ 2:18cv4759
Pick A Part joins Rush Auto Recyclers and two individuals with control of the companies as defendants in an unpaid overtime lawsuit.
Arizona
Pick A Part, LLC joins Rush Auto Recyclers, Inc. and two individuals with control of the companies as defendants in a lawsuit filed by a yard laborer who alleges he is owed unpaid overtime wages.
The suit says the plaintiff was hired by the defendants to buy scrap metal and prepare salvaged cars for processing, among other “odd labor jobs.” The man claims he unlawfully receives less than his straight-time rate for overtime hours. Further, the case says the defendants’ violations were willful in that they misleadingly told workers that by not being paid proper overtime wages, they would actually be receiving more money.
