Filed: August 21, 2018 ◆§ 4:18cv571
A collective action has been filed against EJ’s Cleaning Services and the company’s owner by a former employee who claims he’s owed unpaid overtime wages.
Arkansas
A proposed collective action has been filed in Arkansas against EJ’s Cleaning Services, Inc. and the company’s owner by a former employee who claims he’s owed unpaid overtime wages.
The plaintiff, who the case says was employed by the commercial janitorial services company from May 2015 through August 2017, claims he and similarly situated janitors regularly worked in excess of 40 hours per week for a flat sum paid every month. According to the suit, EJ’s Cleaning failed to pay the workers’ time-and-a-half wages for every hour worked over 40 each week, as well as at least the minimum wage for hours worked up to 40 every week.
