Amaya et al v. Ed's Landscapes & Services, Corp. et al
Filed: April 26, 2018 ◆§ 2:18cv2473
Two former employees claim Ed’s Landscapes & Services, Corp. failed to pay time-and-a-half wages.
Two plaintiffs have put their names on a proposed collective action in which they say Ed’s Landscapes & Services, Corp. and its owner should be on the hook for allegedly unpaid wages. One named plaintiff worked for the defendants from March 2013 to December 2017, the lawsuit says, while the other was employed by the landscaper from May through December 2017. The case points out that the plaintiffs regularly stopped working after the first week of December and would return at the beginning of March.
According to the complaint, the plaintiffs worked around 72 hours per week from March through early December without being paid time-and-a-half overtime wages.
