Doctor’s Medical Center, Inc. and an individual with control of the business are facing a proposed collective action out of Florida federal court that claims the parties refused to pay employees for all their hours worked. The plaintiff in the case, a patient transport driver, says he worked for the defendants between October 2014 and September 2016 and would frequently put in an average of 12.5 off-the-clock overtime hours per week for which he was “never paid anything at all.” He claims he was required to perform work from home, including coordinating the next day’s pick-ups/drop-offs, that the defendant never accounted for and therefore failed to include as part of his time-and-a-half overtime wages.
