Diaz Supermarket Opa Locka, Inc. and its owner are the defendants in a Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) complaint filed by a former employee looking to recover allegedly unpaid overtime wages. The plaintiff, who the cases says worked for the defendants from 2012 through August 2017, claims he put in as many as 63 hours per week while only being paid a $600 salary for up to 40 hours of weekly work. The complaint estimates the plaintiff is owed nearly $15,500 in unpaid time-and-a-half overtime.
