A former employee of Cypo, Café, Inc. has accused the restaurant and its owner of failing to pay him and other employees proper overtime wages. He says he worked for them as a dishwasher and cook and that he was paid a fixed weekly salary regardless of how many hours he worked. The suit claims that the defendants refused to pay their employees time-and-a-half overtime wages for the hours they worked above 40 each week, in violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
