Sun v. Panda III Grenwich, Inc. et al
Filed: June 30, 2017 ◆§ 3:17-cv-01096-JAM
The operating company of Panda Pavilion and three individuals are the defendants in a proposed class and collective action alleging that they failed to properly pay their employees.
Connecticut
Panda III Greenwich, Inc. (which does business in Connecticut as Panda Pavilion) and three individuals are the defendants in a proposed class and collective action alleging that they failed to properly pay their employees and violated several provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act and Connecticut state law. The plaintiff says he worked for the defendants as a delivery driver for an average of 66.5 hours per week, but did not receive the full minimum wage or overtime wages for any of the hours he worked. According to the complaint, the plaintiff also was never reimbursed for the cost of using his own vehicle, including gasoline, maintenance, and vehicle depreciation. He further claims that he was forced to pay out of pocket for a portion of a co-worker’s wages associated with cutting cardboard to prepare deliveries.
The plaintiff additionally argues that he was not given meal breaks and was not provided with wage statements or notices, in violation of state and federal law, respectively.
