Filed: December 1, 2017 ◆§ 1:17cv9462
A current employee of Guita Construction and Felix Construction has filed suit against the businesses’ two operating companies and an individual owner claiming he is not paid proper wages.
New York
A current employee of Guita Construction and Felix Construction has filed suit against the businesses’ two operating companies and an individual owner claiming he is not paid proper wages. The man says he has been employed by the defendants as a construction worker since November 2011 and regularly works between 57 and 60 hours per week without receiving time-and-a-half overtime wages for the hours he works above 40.
The complaint further argues that the defendants have failed in their obligation to record the plaintiff’s hours and provide him with accurate wage statements. On top of that, the plaintiff claims he was required to purchase hammers and 30 pairs of shoes without reimbursement.
