A former employee of AGL Industries, Inc. has filed suit against the construction company and its chief executive officer over claims that they failed to pay proper overtime wages. The plaintiff says he was employed by the defendants as a construction worker, steel beam worker, and laborer between January 2016 and March 2017. According to the suit, he regularly worked 84 hours per week and was not paid proper time-and-a-half overtime wages for the hours he worked above 40. He further argues that the defendants failed to accurately record his hours and never posted required wage notices informing employees of their rights under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
