Tiller et al v. Consolidated Cleaning Systems, Llc et al
Filed: December 18, 2017 ◆§ 3:17cv2526
Consolidated Cleaning Systems, LLC and its owner have been named as defendants in a proposed collective action filed by two former employees who claim they were denied proper rest breaks and are owed unpaid wages.
Consolidated Cleaning Systems, LLC (formerly known as Excel Management Services, LLC) and its owner have been named as defendants in a proposed collective action filed by two former employees who claim they were denied proper rest breaks and are owed unpaid wages.
According to the suit, the plaintiffs performed cleaning and janitorial services for the defendants, and one of them supervised other employees. They say they were not permitted to take breaks and were not given an extra hour of pay for unused rest periods.
The first plaintiff claims he was paid hourly and that his supervisor would often alter his hours worked and pay him less than he was owed. He says he never received time-and-a-half overtime wages despite sometimes working more than 40 hours in one week.
The second plaintiff alleges she worked 70 hours per week without receiving overtime wages and was “occasionally shorted” $50 to $100.
