Commercial Furniture Installation, Inc. and two individual owners are facing a proposed collective action that accuses the defendants of violating the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
According to the complaint, the plaintiff worked as an hourly paid “furniture installation and renting professional” at the Jackson, Mississippi business. The case alleges the defendants failed to properly compensate the plaintiff and similarly situated employees at a time-and-a-half pay rate for hours worked in excess of 40 each week.
