Romero v. Castro Constructive Solutions, Inc. et al
Filed: July 17, 2018 ◆§ 8:18cv1723
Castro Constructive Solutions and KD Construction of Florida are being sued by a former employee for allegedly unpaid wages.
Florida
Castro Constructive Solutions, Inc. and KD Construction of Florida, Inc. have been named as defendants in a lawsuit filed by a former employee over allegedly unpaid wages. The lawsuit alleges that the plaintiff, who performed "manual construction related labor" for the defendants, is one of at least 15 to 20 or more employees who did not receive the entirety of their regular or overtime wages. From the complaint:
“…[T]he off the clock work and/or unpaid hours that Plaintiff was directed to work was intentional and was designed to extract additional hours of labor out of Plaintiff for the benefit of the Defendants, who then refused to pay Plaintiff and those similarly situated premium wages and, in some weeks, failing to pay Plaintiff and those similarly situated at all.”
The plaintiff claims that during his several weeks of employment with the defendants, he was regularly directed to work more than 40 hours per week and is owed at least $1,500 to $3,500 in unpaid wages.
